Planned Shut Down
| I will be shutting the site down for a day or so during the Thanksgiving week while I move it to a new server. Theoretically, this should only take a couple of hours...
My target date to do this is on Monday, November 24th.
I've already started the backup process, so I'm hoping that it won't be too painfull to move everything.

Just sharing a new find. I have always loved old Internationals and have someday wanted a scout as a fun weekend truck. But something got into me at a local estate auction, and I am now the proud owner of a basically intact and complete 55 travelall. I am wondering the production numbers and anyother info. The only item missing is the rear seat and cigar lighter. Would love to hear from other early travelall owners.

On the eve of WWII and after, The International D-Series set the pace for a rapidly changing America. Nearly 70 years later, this American legend became the inspiration for the 2008 International LoneStar, the truck that's changing everything. The D-39 inspired one more original, the International DMAXX, a glimpse of yesterday with innovations that kick straight into the 21st Century.
Building the DMAXX
The DMAXX began life as a 1939 International D-Series "half ton" pick-up. It was found at George Mitchell's Nollenberger International Dealership in Toledo, Ohio. In September, 2007 this D-39 was shipped to American Speed Company in Plymouth, Michigan, where it would be totally rebuilt and reborn. DMAXX was completed on January 22nd, 2008.

Some of us are attempting to develop a rally type of event, the "Traveling Truck Story" thread describes this idea. The map is to be used to find "the run" of the rally or rallies.
A third party map can be reached by the below link (use right click to save this page and open a new tab or window) it will show you the location of the folks from this board that have been there before you.
You can follow the below instructions to put your location on the map and upload a picture of your vehicle.

I got my 54R110 from my brother in the early 1980's. He had used it for hauling construction material, dirt, gravel, and furniture when he build a new home at that time. He had no further use for the truck and asked if I wanted it. the answer was a definite yes. We drove the 50 miles to go and get it. My wife dropped me and my young son off and left for home. My brother got the keys, while I checked the truck over. The first thing I noticed was the mileage on the odometer (522,000 miles) Wow, they don't go that far any more. We checked the fluids, boosted the battery and pumped the gas,(it had been sitting for a few years already). With just a few cranks of the starter, and a couple pumps on the accelerator, it purred to life with a big cloud of blue smoke. Well, away we went, first off to the gas station, then onto the hi-way and home. By the time I got 10 - 15 miles down the road, the smoke had quit, and it ran like a top.

"Pete" a 1952 L-112 followed me home June 30, 2007. The truck had one previous driver; Mr. Ray Peterson. Mr. Peterson owned an IH truck dealership in Crystal, Minnesota.
